Couple years ago someone said Janelle Monae should be the next Batman. She replied that she wanted to be the Joker. I like the idea and decided to draw it out.
When I finally got around to watching “Guns Akimbo,” I was blown away by the art direction, style, and insanity. The character of Nix was all of that rolled up into one perfect character. So I drew her in traditional pen-and-ink medium and painted her digitally.
This 1970’s Italian giallo-horror poster was created by combining traditional pen and pencil artwork with digital painting.
